Imlil Day Trip

Take a trip to Imlil in the Atlas Mountains, at the base of Mount Toubkal, the highest peak in North Africa. Imlil is the heart of the hiking area and is a brilliant place to spend time in the great outdoors while only being a short journey from Marrakech. The trip will let you spend the day trekking with a local guide and experience the beauty of life in the Berber villages nearby so be sure to wear solid walking shoes.

The drive from Marrakech takes around 90 minutes, and you will feel the warmth of Berber hospitality as soon as you arrive. Depart from the village to trek to a village called Armed where you can gaze up at the magnificence of Mount Toubkal from the valley below. Interact with people going about their daily lives and learn about the local Berber lifestyle.

See traditional architecture overlooking the terraced fields built, enjoy the panoramic views over the mountains, see beautiful forests and waterfalls and fresh streams. If walking is not your thing and you would you prefer to ride, we can arrange a mule (and muleteer) to guide you on a “Berber 4×4”.
