Agafay Desert Trip

Moroccan Premium Adventures offers two Agafay desert trips – one in the morning and one in the afternoon, depending on what you want to see and do. Take a look and pick the one you feel is best for what you would like to experience.

Agafay Desert Morning Trip

Located about 30 km from Marrakech, the Agafay Desert has a landscape unlike any other. Explore the yellow sands, rocky outcrops and discover camps nestled in the dunes while gazing at the vast, uninterrupted sky.

We will collect you from your accommodation, and as we slip from the city to the countryside the route, shaded by orange trees, passes villas and farms and provides a glimpse of rural Moroccan life.

On Arrival to Agafay, enjoy a camel ride (alternatively this can be substituted for quad-biking) over the rolling dunes with views to the High Atlas Mountains in the distance.

After a delicious lunch at a local camp, we will make our way back to Marrakech via Lalla Takerkoust. This breath-taking natural landscape draws visitors from the city regularly while the dam provides electricity for Marrakech.

Cross over the Kik Plateau for stunning views of the flatlands, and on a clear day, you will catch another glimpse of the mountains. Returning to your accommodation in the afternoon you will have plenty of time to rest and enjoy your evening.

Agafay Desert Afternoon Trip

We will collect you from your accommodation, and as we slip from the city to the countryside, the route, shaded by orange, olive and eucalyptus trees, passing villas and farms that provide a glimpse of rural Moroccan life. Cross over the Kik Plateau and make a stop at Lalla Takerkoust. This breathtaking natural landscape draws visitors from the city regularly while the dam provides electricity for Marrakech.

Continuing our journey to Agafay, enjoy a sunset camel ride over the rolling dunes (alternatively this can be substituted for quad-biking) with views to the High Atlas Mountains in the distance. Enjoy the desert silence and relaxation with dinner in a camp before returning to Marrakech late in the evening.
